Conference: LightMat 2017 - Latest Development for Aluminium, Magnesium and Titanium Alloys

After a great success in 2013, the 2nd international light metal conference will provide an overview of current research and development - from metallurgy to processing and application

Bremen , 08.11.-10.11.2017

In November 2017, the LightMat conference organized by the DGM takes place in Bremen. It gives a deep insight into specific requirements, basics, metallurgy, processing and applications for aluminum, magnesium and titanium alloys.

The "European Aluminum Conference", Alumium will be hosted as special symposium and focusses on this most important material class.   A further highlight is the special topic "Additive Manufacturing": Advances in 3-D printing of extremely demanding applications made of light alloy alloys. In addition, the session highlights the challenges and opportunities of this promising technology.

We present our solutions for materials of the future as well as for additive manufacturing and lightweight design. Focus is put on Materials databases and simulation environments for alloys based on aluminum, magnesium and titanium. Keywords are Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME) and Computational Materials Design.
